Dollar Tree Store Robbed at Gunpoint

The robbers accosted two female employees in the parking lot after dark.

The Dollar Tree store at Cofer Crossing in Tucker was robbed on Sunday evening by two men who got away with over $2,000.

Employee Natalie Goggins told police that she and her colleague, Traci Williams, were taking a deposit bag filled with cash to the bank shortly after 10 p.m. when they were approached by two black males in the parking lot, according to the incident report.

"One of the males...had a black handgun and pointed it at Ms. Williams' head, telling her 'give me the money.' The suspects then took off running towards the rear of the building into the woodline by the train tracks," Officer M.R. Drew stated in the report.

Goggins told police that prior to the robbery she had seen two men outside the store who "immediately turned around... The males kept their back to her and she was unable to see their face(s)."

The two employees, who were not injured, were able to provide police with descriptions of the suspects.
