Burglars Hit Tucker Animal Hospital
An alarm went off but police were apparently told not to come.
A Tucker Animal Hospital employee arrived at work on the morning of Wednesday, Nov. 13 to find the place had been burglarized overnight, according to police. Kathleen Walker said she found a side door that was unlocked and a shattered office window.
An alarm went off at 11:39 p.m. Tuesday night but police were not dispatched to the location "because the key holder advised the alarm company that some workers probably set off the alarm and that the police were not needed," the incident report stated.
Police checked surveillance footage but did not see a suspect or vehicle related to the burglary. "I also checked the area of the broken glass but did not observe any footprints or blood in the vicinity," Officer D.A. Quarless wrote.
Walker said there did not appear to be any items taken from the location.
