Burglars Crash Truck Into Computer Store

Burglars rammed a pickup truck into the storefront of CSR Computers in the early hours of Thursday, Sept. 26 and stole merchandise valued at $7,000.

"Three possible teenagers used a blue Dodge Hemi to back into the store and carted off about 15-20 laptops at 2 a.m. this morning," manager Chandra Singh told Patch.

Surveillance footage of the break-in was handed over to police. "One (suspect) was wearing an orange hoodie and one was shirtless with pants halfway down and boxers showing," Singh said, adding that police told her there were other burglaries in the area around the same time. "Cops said a mini van was also being used in the hits."

The store is located in the Publix shopping center at 4420 Hugh Howell Road in Tucker. On Thursday afternoon, sheets of plywood covered the entrance area and a sign told customers the business is still open.

"Our town is not safe anymore," said Singh.
