Armed Robbery Thursday at Rite Aid Pharmacy

A man demanded cash at gunpoint from a store employee.

A man pointed a gun at a female employee at Rite Aid in Tucker Thursday night and took cash from the register, DeKalb Police reported.

The robber is described as a white male in his mid-twenties, wearing a black baseball cap, a black hooded sweater, grey pants and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. Police say he also had tattoos on the right side of his neck and on his fingers.

The employee, Evette Haynes of Lithonia, said the suspect approached the counter with candy in his hand and asked her how much it would cost. When she replied $2.05, the man said he was short five cents and had to get it from his car. He then pulled out his weapon and demanded money from two cash registers. Haynes was not injured.

The suspect left the store through the front door with an unspecified amount of cash.

Very disappointing to hear. Glad everyone is ok. Just a thought, publishing the victims full name and location probably isn't the best idea if the suspect is still at large.

What are the DeKalb county Police doing??? This is getting really out of freaking control!!!! And they are not catching anyone??? We certainly don't need a Dunkin Donuts...they will too busy gorging their bellys! Or maybe we do...they might actually be in town!!!
