Appliance Thief Sought by Police

A man shown in surveillance photos stealing air conditioning units is being hunted by Dekalb County Police.

The alleged crime took place on the night of March 4 at an office complex at 3644 Chamblee Tucker Road. The building houses medical offices and a real estate company. Police say four units were stolen from the property and that the suspect and his vehicle, a white van, were captured on film. 

Detectives say a second robbery occurred later that evening down the street at 3648 Chamblee Tucker Road. Two air conditioning units were taken from that location, but there were no surveillance cameras in use. Police suspect the same man committed both crimes. 

The public is being asked to assist in identifying and apprehending the suspect. Anyone with information should call the DeKalb County Police Department at 404 294 2809.
