$5.5 Million Worth of Marijuana Taken in Raids at Homes in Tucker, Gwinnett

Homes in Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Norcross and Tucker were raided.

Millions of dollars worth of marijuana will never make it to the streets thanks to recent raids at homes across Gwinnett County. 

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, members of the Gwinnett Metro Task Force raided "grow" houses in Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Norcross and Tucker. 

In all, 1,800 marijuana plants and 34 pounds of the processed drugs was seized from the five rented homes in Gwinnett.

The street value of the drugs is $5.5 million.

The AJC reports several suspects have been arrested or have pending indictments against them. All of the suspects are reportedly from Vietnam and entered the United States through Canada.

The Gwinnett Metro Task Force is made up of several agencies, including the County Sheriff's Office, Lilburn Police, Lawrenceville Police, Snellville Police, Duluth Police and Suwanee Police.
