I think one post had it right - who wants MORE GOVERNMENT.  Do your tax return.  One, long time, local "Tuckerite" said we're proud not to have any local government and don't want any! Several weeks ago I knew nothing about this issue, but myself and TAXPAYERS better smarten up quickly as it looks like it will come to a vote.  I'm tired of the local political hacks - both Demos and Rhinos.  The area is in decline, as is most of the country, thanks to the last 15 years of "I want mine and let everybody else pay for it!"  This ain't the way to get change.  Seems like the Dunwoody and south Dekalb areas run the county and they're of a particular political persuasion.  History, time and again shows socialism fails every time it's tried and will continue to fail.  Creating an island or whatever to fight this is not the way to go!  County employees and those getting government largesse  better stop thinking what's in it for me and better start thinking what will promote prosperity.  We don't need a population growth of government dependency, but what we do need is economic growth. Let's focus like a laser on that issue and get off this stupid stuff.
