The Tiger Den Is Open for Bids
Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb's Playhouse Build & Auction is underway.
A reception at 6 p.m. this evening in Decatur will celebrate the 2012 Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Build, and the auction includes a house built by students called the Tiger Den. (See photos). The public is invited to attend.
This year's collection of playhouses is on display on the Plaza at Decatur Square until April 29. The event is an annual benefit bringing teams in the community together to build unique playhouses in support of Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb.
The houses are available for bidding on eBay.
Kate Murphy, Program Coordinator for Habitat, told Patch that Tucker's playhouse is already getting attention. "The Tiger Den is truly amazing. It is one of the first houses to receive an opening bid," she said.
