Tucker Day Is This Saturday

Tucker Day returns this Saturday, May 12 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

I don’t know about you, but I am super excited about Tucker Day 2012. This day has been long-awaited, due to the cancellation of last year’s event because of construction on Main Street.

A wonderful addition will be two extra performance stages and a wide variety of musical acts that will perform all day long. Performances will kick off at 9:30 a.m. and will begin about every 30 minutes on alternating stages. I personally am looking forward to crooner Joe Gransden and the Joe Gransden Quartet (12:15 p.m. at the ShockTop Stage) and folk-blues group The Joe McGuiness Trio (1:30 p.m. on the Railroad Stage.)

Mountain West Church will be back this year with tons of entertainment for kids.  They will be providing free face painting, balloon art, creating custom paper hats with kids, and have a “rock star” booth where kids can get a makeover including temporary tattoos and crazy hair.
