What's Your Value?

I haven't heard any positive words spoken from any DeKalb homeowner this week concerning the property "value" that the county has seemingly arbitrarily placed on our properties. 

How did your property fare?  I've seen a pattern of certain areas being "blanketed" with like results.  Most Smoke Rise homes, for example, were said to go up in value while homes in the Medlock area were said to go down.  How did they come up with these numbers? 

Let's hear from you!  Where do you live in DeKalb?  Did your value go up or down?  Will you appeal?  If you're not happy with what you've been assessed, you have until July 31 to appeal.
