Tucker Home Featured on A&E's 'Sell This House'

The makeover show spruces up an old residence off LaVista Road.

Joy Glover Walters and her husband James recently welcomed a crew from A&E's Sell This House to renovate their two-story residence on Pine Meadows Court in Tucker.

"The episode will air on May 18 at 10 a.m.," Walters told Patch.Β

The couple and their four children had been living there for five years, Walters said, and were planning on selling it to get a larger house, but buyers were not interested. The problem? "Outdated cabinets, faux stone vinyl flooring, ugly wallpaper, and tacky wood paneling," according to the show's website.

Over the course of a weekend, the show's team ripped out the old kitchen and replaced it, installed classic tile flooring and got rid of the wood panelling and "other remnants of their 1970s decor."

"Now, when potential home buyers enter the house, they can immediately sense the infinite potential of this refined and modern design," the blurb on the website says.

Walters' verdict: "It has been crazy. Fun but crazy!" ο»Ώο»Ώ

This is the second TV reality show to visit Tucker this year. In March, Bar Rescue spent four days remodelling the former Barlow's, now known as the Comeback Bar & Grill.
