Sugarloaf Leisure Tour & Boat Show

The Sugarloaf Leisure Living Outdoor Tour will showcase outdoor living spaces and indoor terrace levels of four beautiful homes in Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth on Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19.

The Woman’s Club of Sugarloaf Country Club Charities Inc. is hosting the fourth annual tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

A Boat Show has been added this year at TPC Sugarloaf Country Club featuring ski boats, personal watercraft and other aquatic equipment from local marine retailers, as well as outdoor cooking demonstrations. Featured boat vendors include Park Marine, Marine Max, and Gainesville Marina & Boat Sales.

Award-winning residential landscape designer and author Tara Dillard, honorary chairperson of the tour, will share her ideas with attendees at noon and 3 p.m. each day. Dillard has appeared on HGTV, CBS and NBC and has been a frequent guest on the Walter Reeves WSB Radio show.

Each home on the tour will be decorated with a festive theme and will feature food and beverages donated by local vendors. The themes include a backyard wedding reception, an outdoor spa, a Cinco de Mayo party, an a Mardi Gras cafe. Party food will be provided by Pure Taqueria of Duluth, Lifetime Fitness, Boudreaux's Cafe Acadiana, and Whole Foods.

In addition, fyi Duluth design center and its vendor partners will exhibit at the Sugarloaf Club House. Participating vendors include Graystone Design/Build, Adjustable Patio Covers, Chattahoochee Kitchen & Bath, Allsouth Appliance, Premier Surfaces, Wired 4 Living, Bloomin’ Pots, CertaPro, Outdoor Room Decorating, and Finest Event Rentals.

The Sugarloaf Leisure Living Tour is held each year to raise money for four worthy local charities selected by the Women’s Club. This year tour proceeds will benefit the Foster Children’s Foundation Inc., Mothers And Daughters Against Cancer (MADAC), Rainbow Village Inc., and Spectrum Autism Support Group Inc.  

Tickets are $20 a person and can be purchased online or at the entrance gate on Sugarloaf Parkway on the days of event. Ticket sales close at 3 p.m. each day. Tickets ordered online may be picked up at the entrance gate. For ticketing questions, email 2011charities@gmail.com.
