Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 9am, Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Drive, Decatur, GA 30030 PLEASE TELL NEIGHBORS AND JOIN US! WEAR GREEN IN SUPPORT OF JOHNS HOMESTEAD PARK!

DeKalb County Commissioners are heavily leaning towards Johns Homestead Park as their new Animal Shelter location. They would need to bulldoze about 5 acres of forest, and so far there has been no discussion on what they plan to do with the 185-year-old Historic Farmstead and outbuildings. They also haven't addressed wildlife issues, the Blue Heron rookeries, water drainage runoff issues, etc. On Tuesday 6/25 the public is given 3 minutes each to voice their thoughts.
