Swing by Johns Homestead Park This Saturday

Feel free to come for a quick hour, or stay the whole day and enjoy the property and lakes.

By Pam McNall

Please join Tucker Civic Assn and Friends of Johns Homestead for the next "Give an Hour" project at Johns Homestead Park (3071 Lawrenceville Highway) THIS SATURDAY, Aug. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon.

We will finish painting the exterior of the 1828 homestead and continue removing invasive plant species from the grounds. If you can, please bring paint supplies such as brushes, rollers and pans, as well as work gloves, loppers and rakes. If not, no problem, we'll have supplies available as well. Feel free to come for a quick hour, or stay the whole day and enjoy the property and lakes.

Snacks and water are provided. Parking is available next door at Rehoboth Baptist Church

See you there - and bring family and neighbors! The trail from the Farmstead down to Twin Brothers Lakes is a wonderful hike.

Thank you for supporting Tucker parks!
