Fire Victims Need a Home for the Holidays

The Bogle family is still displaced a month after a fire destroyed their Tucker home.

By Tiffany Bogle

I am the mother of the family whose house caught fire on Nov. 18 that you wrote about in Tucker Patch.

Let me first begin by expressing how eternally grateful my family and I are for writing about us. Literally, the donations from citizens have been flooding in.

I told my kids and my cousin how this is such a bitter sweet incident. It's unfortunate that we lost our house to the fire but a blessing because of the amount of support we've been receiving from family, friends, churches and neighbors.

My family and I have been living in a two-bedroom hotel since the fire. With five of us here, I am sure you can imagine the discomfort we are experiencing. Not to mention we have no stability because my insurance won't extend our stay beyond Dec. 19.

I wanted to see if it's possible to ask the community if they know of anyone or a real-estate agent who can help us in finding a home. My cousin, my children and I have been searching since the week of the fire but had no luck in the process.

Again I want to say thank you because if it wasn't for your act of kindness, a lot of what we've received would be non-existent. I can be reached via email at
