Browning Courthouse Open Saturday

Historic Browning Courthouse is the only standing building of its kind in the county. The old courthouse has stood as a prominent Tucker landmark since 1860 when it was built and established as a DeKalb County Circuit Court for Browning's Militia District #572, long before our area was known as Tucker. In 1988, the courthouse, now a small museum, was dedicated to Tucker's past, present and future.

Join your friends and neighbors to learn more about Tucker's history from the early 1820's to today. Historical society members will share archival photos, documents and family stories about life in Tucker over the past generations.

This promises to be a full day of fun as the "Grand Opening" of Main Street is the same day from 4-9 p.m. So plan on coming out and joining all the festivities that will be going on in Tucker.

Also, the Masonic Lodge will be holding the annual Fall BBQ from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. This year instead of serving at the BBQ pits across from the post office they will be using their lower restaurant space below the lodge on Main Street.
