American Flag Tribute Ceremony

The public is invited to the Atlanta-Northlake Elks lodge #78's annual American Flag Tribute Ceremony Saturday, May 26, at 10am.  The DeKalb County Police Color Guard will participate in this year's ceremony, presenting the colors during the ritual.  A POW-MIA dedication will also be conducted.  This ceremony is designed to demonstrate the proper method to dispose of worn American flags, and area residents are invited to bring any tattered or torn flags they may have.  The ceremonies will be followed by a traditional holiday meal of a hot dog or hamburger plate, including chips and a drink, for $2.00  Veterans eat free.  The lodge is located at 1775 Montreal Rd., Tucker, Ga.  30084.  Information: contact the lodge at bpoe78@bellsouth.net or (770)908-0835.
