OBITUARY for Cathleen "Cathy" Conlin Halbert, of Tucker, GA

Cathleen Conlin Halbert (“Cathy”) of Tucker, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday evening, October 6, 2013. Cathy was born in Kingston, New York on November 6, 1958 the fourth of eight children to Joseph and Theresa Conlin. She spent her formative years in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School in 1978.
In October 1992 Cathy moved to Atlanta where she worked in the restaurant industry up until a recent cancer diagnosis. She loved family, friends, fashion, and going to rock concerts. In November 2004 Cathy married Stuart Halbert. In her fifty-four years Cathy and her husband were able to travel extensively, and together they made many memorable trips to, among other places, Ireland, Italy, Spain, China, Panama, Brazil, Australia, Hawaii, as well as within the continental US. They had been planning to travel to Costa Rica this month before Cathy became ill.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Joseph Conlin Sr., her brother, Joseph Conlin Jr., and her niece Leah Davide. Along with her husband, Stuart, she is survived by her mother Theresa, sisters Linda Horowitz (Fred) Peggy Dell, Terry Bouck (Pete) Mary Allen (David) adopted sister Noreen Kahlsdors, brothers Tim and Brian Conlin, and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws and other extended family members.
Cathy will be remembered for her Irish humor, her love of “bling” and most of all her unselfish nature and willingness to help all. 
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 515 E. Ponce De Leon, Decatur, Georgia 30030.
