Join churches across the Northlake-Embry Hills-Tucker area for a Community Thanksgiving Service.
Pastors from the NorthEast Ministers Organization, an ecumenical group from across NE Atlanta, meet monthly to plan and pray for our community. These congregations come together bi-annually for a Thanksgiving service, as well as mid-day Holy Week services in the spring.This year new pastor Rachael Whaley Pate of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church will be preaching. Lawrenceville Road United Methodist Church will be hosting the worship at 6:00pm followed by a fellowship meal and concert benefitting NETWorks Cooperative Ministry featuring the 18 piece swing band Capital City Xpress –A Big Band with Buzz Alford. The concert will begin at 7:30 in the Sanctuary.
LRUMC will will provide the bread, ham and turkey and requests that other congregations bring sides and desserts.
NETWorks will give a small presentation announcing the proceeds of Taste of Tucker and sharing about the Good Neighbor Christmas gift shop. Participants are invited to bring an unwrapped toy to donate.
