St. Andrews Concert Choir Presents John Rutter's Requiem

On Sunday, March 30th at 4:00 pm, Saint Andrews will present John Rutter’s Requiem as a musical offering during Lent.

Rutter’s composition of seven movements lies between the traditional liturgical requiem and the solely Scripture based Ein deutsches Requiem of Johannes Brahms.  It might be called “An English Requiem” setting texts from the traditional liturgy, from the Psalms, and from the Book of Common Prayer (1662) of the Anglican Church."

In addition to the above, the Concert Choir will also include two anthems by John Rutter:  "Lord. Make Me an Instrument of Thy Peace" and "Go Forth into the World"

Under the direction of David Lukens, the Concert Choir will be accompanied by a chamber ensemble and organ.
