St. Mountain & Surrounding Areas, GA.  –
On February 8th, 2014
, The Smoke Rise Community Association will be
providing an environmentally sound solution to the proper disposal of
electronic waste as part of their commitment to the environment.  The February
8th
event will take place on Saturday between 10:00am
and 2:00pm. The Smoke Rise Community Association will be teaming
up with IMS Electronics (GA) to help the community dispose of their unwanted
home computers and electronics. This event is open to the public,
residents and businesses.

IMS Electronics is accepting most home electronics,
including computers, televisions, monitors, printers, fax machines, small
household appliances, cell phones FREE of charge. For a detailed list of

CRT devices (TV’s and Monitors) will also be accepted
however there will be a $5 charge for each CRT monitors, $10 charge for each
CRT TVs and $30 charge for each large projection or wooden console and Plasma
TVs because of the high cost to recycle these devices.



Unaccepted materials include items containing biohazards,
hazardous waste, freon, or liquids of any type, smoke detectors, or radioactive
materials.

IMS Electronics will have trucks and personnel staged in the
parking lot of the Smoke Rise Community Association’s event will be held at 1991
Silver Hill Rd. Stone Mountain, GA 30087 place on
February 8th to
collect and dispose of any household unwanted personal computer and electronic
equipment in an environmentally safe and environmentally friendly way.
