Tucker's Muscular Dystrophy Association Raising Research Funds

Local Kroger stores are participating in the Muscular Dystrophy Association's 'Shamrocks Against Dystrophy' program now through March 30.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is based in Tucker at 2187 Northlake Parkway.

Kroger customers and employees are encouraged to purchase a shamrock shaped pin-up for a donation of $1 or $5.

This is the thirteenth consecutive year Kroger-Atlanta Division has supported MDA in the this program. The funds raised through the annual campaign go towards research and local support programs including summer camp for kids with Muscular Dystrophy.  

“Kroger remains one of the largest supporters of MDA’s efforts to provide much needed services and potentially life saving research to local families living with Muscular Dystrophy” said Sabrina Hughes, Divisional Director of MDA’s East Central States Division.

“Each year, the Muscular Dystrophy Association helps thousands of Americans receive treatment for this physically, emotionally and financially debilitating disease,” says Glynn Jenkins director of communications for Kroger’s Atlanta Division. “Kroger is fortunate to be a part of the Shamrock fundraiser and the various services it provides for those with muscular dystrophy.”

Kroger has two Tucker locations - at Cofer Crossing and Northlake
