Metro Atlanta could see some strong storms this evening, according to the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City.
A severe thunderstorm watch was issued at 4:28 p.m. and will expire at 8 p.m. The watch covers 16 counties, including DeKalb County.
The weather service forecast says there are storms in the Rome area at present and are headed this way.
