Gang of Four Attempted Break-In

Idlewood Acres East neighborhood targeted by robbers.

Letting you know that someone tried to break into an Ethiopian's house this morning. Fittha (the father) left about 5:30am. Someone rang the doorbell soon after that and the family ignored it, thinking it was Fittha coming back to get something. Then Gigi (the daughter) heard someone trying to get in the back of the house and somehow scared the person off.Β

The robber had cut out one square of window glass in the back of the house but left quickly, leaving his cap and some kind of bag. I know we are not supposed to answer the door if someone knocks/rings during the day (because they are testing is anyone home). But, pretty weird they rang the doorbell so early in the morning.Β Β

Alex Mirzadzhanyan might have seen the guys - four of them - about 5:30 a.m. They split up and two went in two different directions. And they rang the Manager's doorbell (or knocked -- I can't remember) after that, which would be right before they rang the Ethiopian's doorbell at 5:45 a.m.

One of them was in their fenced-in yard and heard people running, out of breath, outside the fence. She thought of calling the police but didn't, didn't really have enough to say to call - just her intuition. Interesting how many in our little area are up and about at 5:30 and how this can be pieced together.

This happened in Idlewood Acres East. Please call 911 if you have anything suspicious going on in your neighborhoods. Let's all continue to be very alert.
