County crews working on downed power lines resulted in the closing of Jimmy Carter Blvd. in both directions Monday morning at the junction with Lawrenceville Hwy.
As of 11 a.m the road remains closed. A police officer on the scene is using a loudspeaker to turn away motorists who insist on trying to get through the barriers.
