The AJC Story on DeKalb's Charter System Decision

Georgia School Watch has the full text of the AJC's story about Superintendent Thurmond's recommendation that DeKalb County become a Charter District.

Currently, DeKalb and many other systems are balancing their budgets by using waivers to extend class sizes beyond state maximums and to shrink their school calendars under the minimum 180 days."
