In 2012, the Salon Studio Concept for hair stylists was brought to Tucker by Mitchell and Tyler Cooke. A salon studio is made up of individual suites, each a separate hair salon operated by a single stylist, or partners, running their own business. This concept brings opportunity to local hair stylists who want to take the next step in their careers and own their own salon without the overhead of a traditional salon start-up.
This salon studio environment is a welcomed alternative to booth rental, in which stylists simply rent a chair from a local salon. When a stylist rents a chair, he/she operates as their own business, but they do this without the ability to brand themselves to their clients. They essentially are welcoming their clients into another business owner's salon. With a boutique salon suite, the stylist decorates to her/his personality and invites the client into a private atmosphere for a more personalized experience. The response has been overwhelmingly positive for clients.
