TV Show Filming In Tucker Wants People

A TV crew in town this weekend is looking for a crowd.

A television show called "Bar Rescue" is filming an episode in Tucker this weekend and they're looking for people to come out and take part.

We're not allowed to tell you where this is happening just yet, but if you're interested in coming along, you'll need to send an email to get some more details.

"The owners don't even know we're coming," producer Paul Moore told Patch. He said the purpose of the show, now in its third season, is to remodel rundown bars over the course of a few days and that it has become a big hit on the Spike TV channel.

The Las Vegas Sun called it "reality TV at its best" and quoted host Jon Taffer: “It’s like building a whole new place, so the schedule is relentless. No stone is unturned in my mission to reinvigorate struggling businesses. It’s their one last shot.”

Have you seen the show? Would you want to be on it? Tell us in the comments-

I wonder if they will be at the OTHER BAR on Lawrenceville Highway. That bar sure needs updating.
Brian Crowe March 08, 2013 at 10:41 PM
The OTHER BAR was my guess too. Is that still the name though?
Kevin Madigan (Editor) March 08, 2013 at 11:51 PM
I can tell you it's not the Other Bar...
Kevin Madigan (Editor) March 09, 2013 at 02:19 AM
Yes, Brian, that's still the name of the place. At least it was a few days ago!

Oh, the owners knew this was coming. Half of Tucker knew this was coming. We heard about it weeks ago from some folks that went to Barlows and then came over to another bar close by. Barlows screwed up a year or so ago by changing their entire menu to some really low quality food. We used to go there every week - nice food, good crowd, nice staff. After the change the place went way downhill in quality ambiance and staff. Advertising is non-existant and the place was headed to become just another dive bar. Hope Jon can turn this one around and make it good again.
Brian Crowe March 10, 2013 at 01:30 AM
Well, if the episodes of the show are at all realistic, it will be a really cool place next week.
Kevin Madigan (Editor) March 12, 2013 at 05:23 PM
The show finishes filming the episode tonight at 10:30. The public is invited.
