Tucker Farmers Market Returns

It's baaack....

On Thursday, April 4, 2013, the Tucker Farmers Market will open for its second season. The market will continue to operate from its central location at 2333 Main Street in the Freemasons Square and Bank of America parking lot. The market will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday until Dec. 19.

Last year, with the help of word-of-mouth from both customers and vendors, the market grew from seven vendors during the first market to more than 35 vendors weekly. Only two months after the market began, it was named “Market to Watch” in Atlanta Magazine.

This season, the market will add a number of new features, including a picnic area for customers to linger and enjoy their purchases and the upbeat local music. Educational sessions, cooking demos, and children’s activities will provide enriched opportunities for the Tucker community to learn about eating fresh and local. A limited number of crafters will sell handmade products like jewelry, candles, and artwork.

But perhaps the most exciting new feature will be monthly Food-Truck Thursdays. On the first Thursday of each month, local food trucks will line up at the market with their selection of gourmet foods.
