The Deal Is Off - Park Pet Retreat Closing

Sunday will be the last day of business.

Rita McCallon of the Park Pet Retreat sent out a message late Friday saying that her Tucker business will close after all.

MacCallon originally said in early August that she had to close due to unspecified business reasons. Days later she reversed herself and said an investor had been found who would enable PPR to keep going.

Today's message, however, appears to spell the end. "I am so very sorry to tell you that the Investor that was brought to me and led me on for a month has backed away from the deal," she said Friday.

Here is the full text of the message:

Thank you all so much for your outpouring of love and support for all of us at The Park Pet Retreat. It means so much to us to know that we were appreciated. I am so very sorry to tell you that the Investor that was brought to me and led me on for a month has backed away from the deal.

Therefore, The Park Pet Retreat will be  CLOSING IMMEDIATELY. Our last full day of operation will be Sunday, Sept. 15. My biggest regret in this whole mess is the effect it has had on you and your pet. I have been heartsick about the stress and change it has and will cause you. I want you to know I care very much about all of you and will miss you and your pooches dearly.

Having said that, I would like to offer my personal services to care for your pet. I will be available and I have plenty space in my home to care for your pup while you are out of town or need a place for the day. I would love to be able to work with you and be of some assistance if I can.

Please contact me at 770-265-3650 or ritaspetservice@aol.com

Again, thank you all so very much and, as always, Happy Tails!

Fondly, Ranger Rita & The Park Rangers
