At Northlake, Shopping for a Bargain
Shoppers got an early start Thanksgiving night before Black Friday.
Some shoppers decided to get an early jump on Black Friday, showing up at Northlake Mall Thursday night for the 8 p.m. openings of some of the major chain stores.
They waited in lines indoors for the doors to open or, in some cases, quietly outside in the night cold.
Shelley Korenbrot, Northlake Mall's director of marketing and business development, reached 90 minutes after the opening, said the department stores were "pleased" with the crowd response.
"It's a win-win for the stores and the shoppers," she said.
