Kile Glover Dies From Lake Lanier Injuries

Son of Usher's ex-wife reportedly was removed from life support.

Kile Glover, the son of entertainment superstar Usher's ex-wife, reportedly has died after being removed from life support.

According to the Huffington Post, the entertainment website TMZ reported that Glover's mother, Tameka Foster, allegedly made the tough decision after being told that a full recovery was not likely. She is also said to have been unable to pay the medical bills required to keep her son on life support, after the family's insurance company coverage expired.

Glover (aka Kyle Glover), 11, was critically injured earlier in July after being hit by a jet ski driven by a family friend. A 15-year-old girl with Glover also was injured. Both were life flighted to Children's Hospital in Atlanta.

Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a family friend, reportedly was driving the jet ski that hit the youths, who were in inner tubes being pulled by a pontoon boat. No charges have been filed, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this accident.

Glover's death would mean that three area youths have died as a result of recent accidents on Lake Lanier. In June, brothers Griffin and Jake Prince of Buford were killed when another boater slammed into a pontoon boat driven by the Princes' father. Paul J. Bennett, a Johns Creek business owner, has been charged with boating under the influence in connection with that accident.

As reports of Kile Glover's death were seen over the Internet on Saturday, reaction came from many on Twitter, which long has been abuzz about the son of entertainer Usher's ex-wife.

Music mogul Russell Simmons (@unclerush) tweeted, "I am sending out every prayer I got to Tameka, Ryan, Usher and their family..."

Said Tameka Harris (@tinymajormama), "Sending our condolences to @tamekaraymond & Ryan Glover...our heart & prayers are with u all & the family! May your son R.I.P"

Reports say his mother, Tameka Raymond, made the decision because insurance coverage no longer would pay for the life support.

Tameka Raymond (@tamekaraymond) posted a photo of herself and a youth (unidentified, but presumably Kile Glover) on her Twitter account Friday (July 20). (See attached photo.)

Tweeted Dee Dee Abdur-Rahim (@deedeerahim): "R.I.P. Kile Glover! U & your mommy @tamekaraymond fought a hard fight! Now you're in Heaven & Mommy's littlehttp://instagr.am/p/NWfgLMgrtw/"

Tweeted Kristen White (@gthekristenwhite): "Im not a mom yet...just an aunt. But I would be utterly devasted at the mere thought of having to face such a thing as Tameka Raymond."

Tameka Raymond also was a trending topic on Twitter on Saturday afternoon.

Patch will have more coverage of these incidents.
