Tucker Author Writes New Book on Lupus

Tucker author Kim Green will appear at Charis Books in Little Five Points on Friday to promote her book Hallucination, which was recently released.

Green told Patch about her reasons for taking on the project. “I wrote Hallucination to be a voice that we rarely hear…the voice of someone actually living while their body is slowly failing from Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), which is so often misunderstood and overlooked. I hope that (it) will give a face to this disease and show how strong people with Lupus have to be even when bodies are weak. I also want the novel to be a mirror for healthy women – so they can see what not to do when a friend is sick and needs them the most.”

The author will read from the book and sign copies. The event takes place on March 9 at 7:30 p.m.
