Viewfinder: The Indian Festival & Pow Wow
Lots to see, learn and buy at the annual event at Stone Mountain Park.
Always an interesting, cultural and educational good time, the Indian Festival & Pow-Wow at runs through Sunday, Nov. 6.
Organizers say the festival, named a Top 20 event by the Southeastern Tourism Society, is the largest Native American gathering in Georgia.
The festival is held at Stone Mountain Parkβs historic Antebellum Plantation, and features everything from Native American dance and music to craft demonstrations, cooking traditions, storytelling and wildlife presentations, etc. Indian Festival & Pow-Wow is chock full of opportunities to learn flint-knapping, bow making, and other skills.

Native Americans from across the U.S. and Central America also will compete in intertribal dance and drum competitions.
And don't forget the shopping! Plenty of artists, crafters will have creations available for sale.
