Tucker's Great American Clean-Up Returns

Join us this Saturday, April 28, at Tucker Nature Preserve.

Spring has arrived and our local parks need a little TLC. Please join us Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m-12 noon for Tucker's Great American Clean Up. Our location? The new and improved Tucker Nature Preserve across the street from WalMart on Lawrenceville Hwy.

If you haven't been there lately, you're in for a real treat. Not one year ago, the woods were impassable, and there was no where to sit and enjoy a picnic lunch. We have since blazed a beautiful winding trail through the preserve to a loop where an outdoor classroom is planned and new benches and a picnic table have been installed, with another table coming soon.

Our job on the 28th? The county will be cutting up an enormous fallen tree into seats which we'll wheelbarrow down the path to the outdoor classroom. We'll also be removing invasive plants and installing another bench.

Please bring:
Loppers, Shovels, Gardening tools, Gloves, Wheel barrows, and water bottles.

We'll have breakfast foods, juice, coffee and water as a thank you for your hard work and sweat equity. Please spread the word and tell your neighbors, organizations, students, and friends about this cleanup project, as we need all the help we can get. See attached flyer for more details and RSVP to parks@tuckercivic.org if you plan to attend. We want to make sure to have enough food and drinks.

Park at the at 5234 Lavista Rd and walk the one block up Lawrenceville Hwy to the Preserve, or park at WalMart and cross the street at the cross walk by the police precinct.

Again, we thank you for your dedication to our local parks and look forward to another successful cleanup!

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
