Reminder: Lakeside Cityhood Meeting Monday
Starts at 7 p.m. tonight, and Patch will have live coverage.
Plans for the nearby neighborhood of Lakeside to become a city and the possible annexation of some of Tucker will be discussed at a meeting on Monday evening.
Turnout is expected to be high, given the considerable amount of comment and controversy generated in recent days by residents in both factions.
The meeting will take place at Tucker Middle School starting at 7 p.m. Commissioner Elaine Boyer and DCSS Interim Superintendent Michael Thurmond will speak, as will representatives of the Lakeside City Alliance, Tucker Civic Association, and Tucker Historical Society.
