UPDATE: Rain Barrel Workshop in Tucker

New date for this month's event is Tuesday, June 26.

The DeKalb County Department of Watershed Management (DWM) will be hosting a Rain Barrel Workshop for DeKalb County citizens at the on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Collecting rain water in rain barrels for use during dry months is an excellent way to conserve water and reduce your water bill.  During the workshop there will be instructions on rain barrel maintenance and water conservation landscaping.  

The workshop will be open to the first 20 DeKalb County residents who sign up. This is a “hands-on” workshop where residents will make their own rain barrels with DWM assistance.

The cost of the workshop is $30.00 and will include all the materials to make your very own barrel. The deadline to register is Friday, June 22, 2012.
