Monday Essentials: Tucker Business, Footballers, Mortgage Help

What's up in the week ahead.

Join DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis and the Board of Commissioners Tuesday, July 16 at 8:30 a.m., to kick-off a new partnership to benefit those who are struggling to make their mortgage payments, and possibly facing foreclosure. 

The DeKalb County Human and Community Development Department-Human Services Division is accepting grant applications for the General Fund and the Victim Assistance Fund. An information briefing will be held Wednesday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Decatur Library Auditorium, 215 Sycamore Street, Decatur. 

DeKalb County's high schools will present their new football teams during the annual Media Day at Clarkston's Hallford Stadium; Wednesday, July 17, at 4 p.m

The Tucker Police Precinct is holding a Community Engagement Meeting on Thursday, July 18 at 10 a.m.

This month's lunch gathering of the Tucker Business Association is scheduled for Thursday, July 18 at Aldo's Cafe, 4450 Hugh Howell Road in Tucker at 11.30 a.m. RSVP by Tuesday, 13 July if possible. Program cost (includes lunch) is $5 for TBA members, $10 for non-members. This month’s speaker is Heather Hale, a solo practice attorney with a virtual-hybrid firm specializing in immigration and adoptions, who will speak on immigration issues affecting Tucker and DeKalb businesses.
