Golf Tournament Will Raise Money For Toys

The event is on Saturday at Smoke Rise Country Club.

I want to invite you to play in a golf tournament. This is very important to me.

Eight years ago my father started a golf tournament to benefit the Salvation Army at Smoke Rise Country Club. In 2007, he passed away and I have continued the tradition in his name. Over the last seven years, we have raised over $40,000 and over 1,000 toys for needy families.

This year’s tournament is THIS Saturday, Dec. 8 at Smoke Rise Country Club. It will be a shotgun start at 11 a.m. The cost is $75 per player. We also ask that you bring three new/unwrapped toys in exchange for three mulligans. We will have other fundraising opportunities as well, but bring an additional $20 for “all you can drink” Bloody Marys!!

This tournament is the highlight of the year and is a ton of fun. All ability levels are welcome. There will be food before AND after the tournament, so bring your appetite. Thanks to Longhorn, Chick-Fil-A, and the Salvation Army for their support with food donations. There are other restaurants donating gift certificates as prizes, but they are too numerous to list.

Please call the pro shop at Smoke Rise (770-908-2582) to sign up, but also email me and let me know as well so I can keep a running total.
