Dear Friends:
I am Rita MacCallon and have been the Director of Open Arms Dog Rescue in Tucker for almost 5 years. We have saved and rehomed 100s of dogs during that time. We were not a foster home based facility, instead the dogs lived at my cage-free boarding facility called The Park Pet Retreat on Lawrenceville Highway.
Unfortunately, The Park Pet Retreat business failed and I had to close the doors on September 15th. That left me with 32 dogs to find placement for. With the help of some wonderful rescue groups including Friends of Dekalb Animals, I have been able to adopt or transfer the majority of them.

The dogs I have left and need Urgent Help for are 7 Bully Breed dogs.
I have: 3 American Staffordshire Terriers, 2 Petite Pit Bulls, 1 American Bulldog and 1 English Bull dog mix.

These are wonderful dogs, but as with all bully breeds they each have a very distinct personality that must be recognized. Knowledge of the Breed and handling of dogs is essential. All of them are people friendly and most are dog friendly, given a proper introduction (not just thrown together).
I am pleading for your help. If I do not have these dogs placed by November 7th, they may be seized by Animal Control - and none of us wants that.
