Spring Fling Fundraiser at Primrose School of Five Forks Brings Gwinnett Community Together; Raises $8,800

(Lawrenceville, GA) April 25, 2014 – Primrose School of Five Forks demonstrated its commitment to making a difference in Gwinnett County.  On Friday, April 25th the school held a Spring Fling fundraiser to help make giving back a top priority in the local community and raise money to support a worthwhile cause. This year’s event raised $8,800 for the Primrose Children’s Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that supports organizations that focus on the needs of children and families.  The focus of this event fundraising was in support of Reach Out and Read, a national, not-for-profit organization that fosters early childhood literacy and reaches more than 3.3 million children between the ages of 6 months and 5-years-old by providing them with a book at well child visits.

“We want to share our excitement for building Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts® with the community,” said Gil Benjamin, Primrose School of Five Forks. “Not only were we able to raise funds for a great community cause, but our Spring Fling event also gave local families an opportunity to come together in a fun and exciting way.”

Local families and businesses supported the event through multi-level sponsorships and donations.  Top of the Class donors included Barnsley Gardens, Bryan Shephard Tennis, Concentrics Restaurants, Flexible Pest Control, Sigger's Hairdressers, Soaring Adventures of Amercia, Snellville Framing and Fine Art and Gil Benjamin; Dean's List donors were Alliance Theatre, Atlanta History Center, Georgia Aquarium, Gwinnett County Adventure Bootcamp, Joseph's Salon, Playball Atlanta, The Portrait Shoppe and Walmart Vision Center; Honor Society donors included All Seasons Car Wash, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Buck Jones Nursery, Chateau Elan, Creative Movement and Dance, EGP Document Solutions, Family Tree Garden Center, Knockout Crossfit, Lowe's, Medieval Times, North GA Canopy TOurs, Portrait Innovations, Six Flags Over Georgia and The Great Outdoors and Class Act sponsorships which included more than 47 individual local families and businesses.  Generous Primrose families contributed in many ways including donated silent auction basket items, volunteer efforts and general support for the school event.

Giving back to the community was a major focus of the event and a key component of the exclusive Balanced Learning® curriculum, which balances character development with academics and play.
