Looking for food, fun and good feelings? You’ll find great eats and hot beats at “Taste of Tucker,” Saturday, Oct. 19, on Main Street, 1 – 6 p.m. And you’ll be supporting a worthy cause.
While popular bands perform on a raised stage, attendees will purchase tickets which allow them to sample food from a delicious bazaar of local restaurants. Proceeds will support the charitable work of NETworks Cooperative Ministry, a coalition of nearly 20 local churches which provides food and financial assistance for low income neighbors in the Northlake-Embry Hills-Tucker area.
Mouth-watering fare will be available in a wide variety of tastes. Southern comfort food from Matthew’s Cafeteria (featured on Food Network) and Greater Good Bar-B-Q will be served alongside American favorites from Marlow’s Tavern, Longhorn Steaks and Local 7, as well as ethnic cuisine from Grecian Gyro, Kochi Sushi & Hibachi, and Las Colinas. Desserts will be offered from Sweet Dee’s.
