Tucker Tigers Take On Miller Grove Wolverines
The game is at Panthersville Stadium on Friday at 8 p.m.
No. 1 ranked Tucker (7-0, 6-0) travels down to Panthersville Stadium on Friday at 8 p.m. to take on the Miller Grove Wolverines (3-4, 2-4) as the Tigers try to stay ahead of Stephenson, Mays and Martin Luther King in the Region 6-AAAAA standings.
The Arabia Mountain Rams (4-3, 3-3) opened a playoff possibility two weeks ago with a win over Mays, but needs to win to help its cause with Mays having Tucker and Stephenson looming in the closing weeks of the season. The Rams take on Southwest DeKalb (2-5, 2-4) in a Region 6-AAAAA tussle at Panthersville on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. as they try to help their cause.
The Columbia Eagles (4-3, 2-1) are playing their way into a playoff opportunity in Region 6-AAAA trailing Marist and in the lead for the No. 2 spot in the sub region A standings. The Eagles take on Redan (0-7, 0-3) in a 7:30 p.m. contest at Hallford as they work towards the region play-in games and playoff possibility.
The stakes are high when the No. 4 ranked Stephenson Jaguars (6-1, 5-1) hook up with the Martin Luther King Jr. Lions (6-1, 5-1) and Friday night’s Region 6-AAAAA high school football game is no different. Hallford Stadium should be rocking at 7:30 p.m. as the pair meet for the eighth time and the Lions owning a three-game win streak in the series as well as leading it 4-3 over the Jaguars.
