Opportunities for Giving

Good Neighbor Gift Shop - Bring toys and gifts for kids to the TFM Nov. 14 and 21, and Dec. 5.

Sponsored by NETworks through Pride For Parents. Our goal is to preserve the pride and dignity of the families we serve in our community. We accomplish this by collecting new toy donations and selling them at extremely affordable prices, instead of giving them away, believing that our families would prefer to provide for themselves instead of receiving a handout.

We need you to make that happen. You can help by donating funds, buying toys, and volunteering. A volunteer sign up link, complete shopping guide, and Amazon wish list can be found at our website. Desired items include: blocks, cares, action figures, ethnically diverse dolls, dress up clothes, sports equipment, books, paints, board games, bikes, & gift cards.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes- Please turn in your shoeboxes for at the Thursday Farmer’s Market this week, or at the office of First Baptist Church of Tucker by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18

Aid for the Philippines: Please bring children’s clothing (any age/size) to the Tucker Farmers Market this week, Nov. 14. Colin will work with Kalayag to get your donations distributed to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Kalayag is an organization run by Pio and his wife Sonia. Pio is the cousin of Colin Gardner, who sells you peaches, pecans, and boiled peanuts throughout the year at the TFM. With the recent disaster, Colin says they are “very busy and desperately need your kindness and generosity.” Bring your donations to Colin’s booth (boiled peanuts in the courtyard).

Hope to see you there!
