Holly Duncan Named NETworks Director

Duncan previously served as president and interim director.

By Paul Ellingson

NETworks Cooperative Ministry has named Holly Duncan to the position of director. She will guide the non-profit venture of 17 local churches as it explores opportunities to move beyond simply providing emergency food and funds for those in need.

She brings a wealth of on-the-job training to her role. As a lay leader at Northlake Church of Christ, she first volunteered at the cooperative ministry in 2006 and joined NETworks’ board of directors the next year. She has previously served as president of the organization and has held the title of interim director for the past six months.

   - increase community awareness of NETworks by giving presentations to area clubs and helping organize the recent Taste of Tucker celebration, which chose NETworks as its designated charity; and

   - transform the organization from a giver of emergency aid to a partner in community development, working with those in need to seek life-changing solutions.

In 2012, NETworks Cooperative Ministry served 1,126 clients, provided nearly $32,000 in housing and utility assistance, and distributed more than 28,000 pounds of food. For more information, contact NETworks at 770-939-5654.
