Where to Watch the Super Bowl in Tucker

OK, so the Falcons didn't make it. It's still one of the most-watched sporting events on the planet, and here's where you can catch it in Tucker.

I'm about to enter my own personal sports black hole.

It happens every year at this time, the period between the end of football season and the start of baseball season, when there's absolutely nothing on the sports pages that interests me.

Three (!) professional hockey teams have been ripped away from our city in my lifetime. I've never been a basketball fan. Even if I was, the Atlanta Hawks' owners are the same ones that sold off the Thrashers with not even a goodbye wave, so I'm boycotting them anyway.

So before I enter two long months of sports-page hibernation, I'm going to enjoy Super Bowl XLVII with our annual gathering of friends on Sunday. I'll be making my usual two batches of Super Bowl chili (one with and one without, beans) and watching the game on our brand new, 60-inch hi-def TV (thanks to Patch for helping make this particular acquisition possible).

If you prefer to watch the Super Bowl in the company of dozens (or hundreds, for that matter), here's where you can catch the game in Tucker:

You can also watch the Super Bowl at the newly remodeled Moonshadow Tavern on Lawrenceville Highway next door to NAPA on Fellowshiop Rd. Under new ownership with some of the same employees, They have lots of big screen TVs and will be offering free munchies during the game. In the same plaza is Billy Bob's Tavern.
