Tucker Driver Involved in Fatal Beaver Ruin Wreck

A motorcyclist from McDonough died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Gwinnett County Police have released the names of four victims in yesterday's fatal rush hour pile-up at Beaver Ruin Road and I-85.

The man who died was named as Brandon Roy, 38, of McDonough, GA, who was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was struck by a car.

Also involved in the accident was 52-year-old Usha Talwar, of Tucker, who was driving a black BMW 325I. Talwar was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, as were the drivers of two other cars.

The Accident Investigation Unit's preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a red BMW 325ci was traveling westbound in the left turn on Beaver Ruin Rd. at I-85. Four other drivers, including the motorcyclist, were stopped for the traffic light in the left turn lane. The driver of the BMW failed to stop and crashed into the stationary vehicles causing a chain reaction accident.

Charges are pending against the red BMW's driver, Kenneth Griffin, 42, of Dacula, GA.
