Take Advantage of Medicare Open Enrollment
Medicare beneficiaries have until Dec. 7 to decide if they want to make changes to their plans. An area insurance agent wants to help.
Medicare Open Enrollment is happening right now and area insurance agent Bob Smith wants to help seniors understand the importance of open enrollment as well as the choices they can make.
During open enrollment, which lasts until Dec. 7, Medicare beneficiaries can decide to:
- switch from original Medicare to a private insurance company's Medicare Advantage Plan
- change Medicare Advantage Plan providers
- purchase a supplement and return to original Medicare
Smith emphasized how important it is for people to make a decision in this time period because if they don't, they have to wait until this time next year.
