Hello Tucker Rec Potters,
First my apologies that many of you did not hear this news from me first. I realized only yesterday that an email was sent out telling everyone that I will not be continuing the MudRoom without my knowledge. I don't know what was in that email, but I do want you all to hear from me, as it is my news to tell.
The current eight week session will be ending Saturday, April 27. I will be in the studio during my regular office hours firing kilns, preping glazes, and will be happy, as usual, to do demos and teach any students who would like to join me.
I will not be able to continue for future sessions at this time because of the low number of registered students. There is simply not enough interest at this time to make the program a viable business with the parameters the county has set for payment, licensing, and insurance.
That said, I will extend the offer to return to teach a once per week class, if there are enough registered to students to make it go. I have taught double classes in the past where I teach wheel and handbuilding at the same time, with great success.
It was truly a pleasure to meet so many of you. I really enjoyed getting to know a few of you in person and many of you via email. You have a great group at Tucker Rec, and I wish you all the best of luck. If I can be of any service, please feel free to contact me.
I would also like to thank the students who registered with me for this session. I very much enjoyed our time together, and I am disappointed that our journey must end so abruptly. To everyone, I'm happy to fire kilns as many times as I can over the next couple of weeks.
If you are a current student, I'd encourage you to wrap up any projects you want to get finished, and for those of you who want to take advantage of my offer to fire past work, please come in and get it glazed. Everything will have to be finished up prior to the 27th.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
