Wilkinson, author of “100 Things Braves Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die,” talked about that game and other experiences he's had with the team Sunday at Decatur High School. The former sportswriter for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution said he thinks the Braves should erect statues to Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz outside Turner Field because those three pitchers were so instrumental in the Braves’ success. More big crowds poured into Decatur as the sixth annual AJC Decatur Book Festival Presented by DeKalb Medical wrapped up on Sunday. Bookovers found plenty besides books to amuse them, including music, art and food.

The Decatur Book Festival is one of the highlights of our year. There were so many great authors represented this year. I'm already looking forward to next year!
